WOW – Worth our Weight
Help support WOW (Worth Our Weight), a culinary apprentice program just south of Montgomery Village at 1021 Hahman Dr. – next to the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Rosa and near Montgomery High (phone 544-1200). It’s a great nonprofit organization that helps kids stay away from trouble and find a job in the culinary world. It’s only open Saturday and Sunday for weekend brunch – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. This is a little hidden gem that will have national exposure on the Food Network via Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
Neighborhood Notes
Please take a look at your shrubbery and trim back any trees or bushes that obstruct vision for cars or for people strolling on our sidewalks, thanks . . . Also – Don’t forget to lock your doors and keep an eye on things. Break-ins have been reported in the neighborhood . . . Our quiet streets can be hazardous when cars roar through. Please remember not to speed. Little kids and elderly people use the streets, too.
